At Don't drink challenge, our mission is to raise as much money for as many charities as possible by doing a difficult but healthy and rewarding lifestyle challenge. We passionately believe that every adult should experience life alcohol free and healthy at least once in their lifetime, let’s give ourselves the opportunity to truly understand and enjoy the benefits of living life a different way.
we aim to be in a position where EVERYONE can access our community and have access to our service.
Whether it be from the money raised to your chosen charity, or even for yourself....
If we change just one person's life for the better, then we've succeeded in changing the world!
Let’s make a difference together
Modern day life can be challenging, painful, stressful and have a consequential negative impact on our physical and mental wellbeing. We all cope in different ways, but often those coping measures, techniques, whilst giving short-term relief to everyday stresses and anxieties can themselves have a much longer term negative affect on us and those around us that we care for and who care for us.
Whether that’s alcohol or other addictive substances, or being simply time poor or having financially difficulties forcing us to turn to fast food options rather than eating healthily, it doesn’t matter, the effects are the same, and can often spiral out of control.
Choosing the challenge that you’ve chosen to take is an important first step in recognising the negative effects that your world around you is having on your physical and or mental wellbeing. A potential reset, that will hopefully take you down a different path to a happier, healthier life and better able to actually deal with those inevitable challenges in life in a far more constructive way.
Yes, we’re on a mission to raise awareness of the risks of alcohol and living in a processed world, but in doing so we want to help raise money for as many different charities who support so many different deserving causes. Charities that do everything they can to tackle issues close to your own heart. Whether that’s researching new and more effective treatments for cancer or Alzheimer’s disease, supporting those who are having to deal with the horrendous effects of domestic abuse, animal cruelty, or child poverty, the list goes on and on.
We want to turn your positive decision and action into something that can make a real difference to you and those special causes that are close to your own heart, whether through natural empathy for that cause or personal experience of the suffering they support. These are your charities, not ours, and we want to make a difference together, as a community of like minded giving people, accessible to all.
Take the challenge, raise money for a charity of your choice and contribute to supporting and building this incredible community.
Founded in 2023, Don’t Drink Challenge began when @noboozjon an ex Royal Marines Commando wanted to go alcohol free to raise money for the charity that paid for his cancer treatment, which saved his life!
Jon wanted a challenge that would really push him and test his determination but couldn’t find anything that that he believed really did that, so he created his own! His challenge was to go alcohol free for 32 weeks, why 32 weeks, well that’s the time it takes to train a Royal Marines Commando.
Expecting this challenge to be nothing more than depravation of something he thought he enjoyed for a period of time; to raise money for an amazing cause little did he know of the amazing journey ahead of him!
Word spread of Jon’s challenge and the sponsorship money came in. With the aid of an alcohol-free community, made up of wonderful people who wanted to truly celebrate his journey, they supported him through highs, lows, including life changing events like his wife being diagnosed with cancer and more. Jon successfully completed his challenge.
Keen to continue to find ways to help raise money for Charity and passionately believing that everyone should experience sobriety at least once in their adult life and enjoy all the benefits that come with it Don’t Drink Challenge was born.
Jon says ‘So many charities can benefit, and we want to support everyone through this challenge..... It can be hard, but at the same time it is so rewarding, in ways that you will never have imagined’
Jon’s posts from during his challenge:
